Over five days, the European Society of Radiology welcomed a total of 18,861 participants from 127 nations to this year's congress at the Austria Center Vienna. The event – which was certified as Green Meeting according to the Austrian Ecolabel – kicked off with the opening ceremony, which was spectacular as always and included a very special co-host: Ameca, the world's most advanced humanoid robot, hosted the evening together with ESR President Prof. Carlo Catalano.

The future of radiology was also the focus of this year's scientific program. Groundbreaking solutions in radiology were discussed at "Innovation in Focus", while experts presented state-of-the-art technologies in the fields of Artificial Intelligence (AI), machine learning and interventional radiology at the AI Expo and Theatre and the "Cube". Over 230 companies presented their innovations at the industry exhibition.

"ECR 2024 has been a testament to the collective vision and determination of the global radiological community to embrace new technology and adapt our practice to improve and empower our role in patient care", said ESR President Prof. Carlo Catalano.

ECR 2025 will take place from February 26 to March 2, 2025 at Austria Center Vienna.
