PCMA Convening EMEA 2022 at Meeting Destination Vienna
The annual EMEA-conference of the Professional Convention Management Association, PCMA, is aimed at global business event strategists. Experts from the associations and corporate sectors met in Vienna to discuss the challenges of the future, inspired by the slogan "Together we move forward". More than 20 sessions including panel discussions, workshops, case studies as well as "Conversation starters", "1:1 Level 30 Meetings" and several areas, which offered time for inspiration, digital detox and networking, inspired the approximately 460 participants, 30 of whom were participating via digital channels in the hybrid format. A special highlight that will remain in the memories of the international delegates was the "Buchteln" served by grannies from the Viennese social enterprise and generational café "Vollpension".
The social program consisted of a series of Exploration Tours curated by the Vienna Convention Bureau. These tours provided insights into many of the different sides to Vienna as a meeting destination and were designed to provide inspiration for planning future events.
In keeping with the motto of Meeting Destination Vienna, "Now together", the acquisition was carried out in a joint process by Vienna Tourist Board, Austrian National Tourist Office, Hilton Vienna Park and Messe Wien Exhibition & Congress Center. Support was also provided by the numerous Viennese partners, amongst them Steiner Live and Gerstner Catering.
The event was organized according to the criteria of the Austrian Eco-Label for Green Meetings & Green Events and was certified as such.
